Hockey Players of MHL Team West Visited Children’s Research Institute of Oncology
On February 5 seven hockey players of MHL Team West visited Petrov Children’s ncology Centre in Pesochnaya (Leningrad Area) as part of “MHL to the Children” Programme. Present at the children’s clinic were Nikita Tochitsky (SKA-1946), Eduard Baklanov (Almaz), Roman Vasilyev (MHC Dinamo), Artem Garifulin (Loko), Stanislav Levin (Russkiye Vityazi), Maxim Kolesnik (Mytischenskiye Atlanty) and Nikolay Lukyanchikov (MHC Spartak). The players brought a big LCD panel TV as a present for the little patients. The medical staff and all their patients were very happy that their common room was turned into a real cinema. At first both the players and the children felt a little shy since such visits are still a novelty for them. But in no time a discussion unfolded and soon everyone became uninhibited. Children were telling stories of their lives in the hospital ward, of their joys and worries and asked many questions to the players. Unfortunately the visit was not a long one since the players had to hurry off to their most important practice before the All Star Game that was to take place tonight in Ledovy Ice Palace. Those of the patients who had the permission from their doctors were given tickets for the game. |
