In a semifinal game of preseason tournament Summer Basel Ice Hockey 2010 SKA gained over Astana’s “Barys”, who is also the KHL member with a big score-6:1.Forward Mattias Veinhandle earned 3 points( one goal and two goal passes).Defenseman Denis Denisov earned 4(1+3) points and took a lead in a list of the goal-scorers with 6 points. As well as at the previous meeting the SKA’s goals were protected by Czech goalkeeper Jakub Shtepanek. Mattias Veinhandle is considered to be SKA’s best player of the game.

Our warmest congratulations to Daryus Kasparaitis upon the birth of his son. On Wednesday night Darius Kasparaitis, who is Olympic champion and a coach of the SKA Ice-hockey team, became a father. We congratulate Darius and Lisa and wish a lot of health to little Marley and his mother.

In the first game of the representative preseason tournament in the Swiss’s ‘Basel SKA ‘s athletes have won a confident victory over the Czech Extra League’s champion -"Eton" from Pardubice – 5:2.

The score of the game was opened by Maxim Afinogenov who has realised the majority on the tenth minute of the first period. In the end of the first twenty minutes the Czech team managed to bring the score level, and in beginning of the second period they became the leaders – 2:1. The score remained the same until the 43rd minute of the game when Alexey Yashin brought the score level by putting on a hand spurt in the top corner of the goal – 2:2. In 46 seconds SKA’s new goalkeeper Denis Denisov first has led our team forward, and in 33 seconds more Denisov and Afinogenov assisted the forward Mattias Vajnhandlju who has scored the fourth goal – 4:2. The final score of the game was set
by central forward of SKA- Peter Chajanek – 5:2 Maxim Sushinsky gave 3 goal passes, goalkeeper Denisov, forwards Chajanek and Yashin and Afinogenov has earned in twos points each. (a

On August, 14th the tournament in the memory of SKA forward Igor Misko will take place on Yubileyny’s Small and Training arenas . During the tournament SKA, VMF, СКА-1946 and Silver Lions will be divided into the teams called in honor of Halizov, Drozdezky, Lavrov and Kuzmin.

The third game of the tournament for "Severstal"’s Ice-Hockey club prizes against  "Silver Lions" "SKA -1946" has finished with the crushing score 4:1.
"SKA-1946"  managed to take an initiative from first minutes of the game , scoring in two goals for a period into the “Lions” gates. Only in the last 20 minutes the MHL newcomers managed to avoid a whitewash defeat. 2:0, 2:0, 0:1.

 The Tournament for “Severstal” Ice-hockey Club prizes goes on in Cherepovets. “SKA-1946”  has finished the game with the “Chaika” from Nizny Novgorod also in a draw – 2:2.
In our team both goals were scored by the defenders – Grigory Serkin and Timur Baraev.
Thereby for two matches with "Loko" and "Chaika" “SKA-1946” has earned 2 points.
On 4th of August "SKA-1946" meets "Silver lions"; on 5th of August they meet the home team- Cherepovets’ "Almaz".
The match against the "Sheriff" from the Moscow will take place on 6th of August.

On the first day of  Tournament “SKA-1946” played against  “Loko” Yaroslavl ,which is among team’s main rivals in the West division. The result of the match is 2:2.
